Weed Control Operator

As a member of the Weed Biosecurity and Bush Regeneration team, the Weed Control Operator undertakes targeted surveillance and weed control works on high risk pathways and sites in accordance with Council’s Delivery and Operational Plans.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use and application of herbicides and associated notification and reporting requirements; identification, surveillance and treatment of weeds, including the ability to interpret, implement and monitor weed management plans; working cooperatively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision; computer literacy (Microsoft Office products); and ability to use GIS/GPS devices in field situations, are essential.

To be successful you must be able to work cooperatively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.  You must also be committed to promoting Council’s Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability and Respect.
